Welcome To The Celtic Series

The Series Points have been calculated and can be found in the Results section of the website which can be found here http://www.celticseries.co.uk/index.php/results/92-celtic-series-individual-and-team-points

After two events the Club Points Competition is being led by Cardiff Ajax, with Jif and the Paragons close behind and with all three clubs accumulating over 1000 points in the series. Bynea are currently placed 4th but with only about half the points of the 3rd placed Paragons there is quite a bit of work to do!

The Fastest Five competition is a much tighter race with only 26 points separating Ajax and the Paragons at the top and 9 clubs in total with more than 200 points.

Forza make an impressive entrance in the Senior Men's competition with Russ White accumulating 231 points to put him just behind the top placed rider Luke Dix of Cardiff Jif who has 238 points. Cwmcarn Paragon rider Gareth Rees sits close behind with 227 points. The ever present Cardiff Ajax aren't far behind with Justin Parker in 4rd spot with 220 points and Adrian Adams in 5th with 216. Things could all change though, as these 5 riders are the only men to have competed in both of the events promoted to date.

The Women's race is hotting up too with 3 riders from Ajax hogging the top spaces. Between current leader Nia James and second placed rider Katie Williams and  third placed rider Alexis Tarrant an exciting battle is underway - currently there are only 4 points separating the three ladies! Ajax Ladies look like they are going to be dominant in the leader board with 5 of the 7 spaces being occupied by their club riders.

Cwmcarn Paragon's junior rider Joseph Wiltshire put in two fantastic rides to take the lead in the junior male competition with 237 points. The Junior female and Juvenile male and female competitions are currently wide open as no rider has completed more than one event.

The next event in the series is the first of the mid week events and is being held on Tuesday 29th May on the R10/4. For those of you who took part in the WWCL event on this course on the 21st April it is a great chance to see how you have improved!
